On the 30th of October, IN4WOOD project organised its final conference in Brussels. Under the title “The next generation of education and training in the wood and furniture sectors and why it matters for development agencies”, participants discussed the challenges and opportunities Industry4.0 can bring to key industries. Representatives from regional authorities, sector organisations, training bodies, companies, the European Commission gathered in this international conference to explore the curriculum and training platform the IN4WOOD project put together during the past three years. The European Commission representatives briefed participants on the ongoing and future support measures and policies, and business and education actors highlighted how enterprises and regional ecosystems are tackling the Industry4.0 challenges and grasp the opportunies rising from it. Later on, attendees were given the chance to pitch project ideas and to explore possible future cooperation.
